Imam Umar As-Suhrawardi's (DIED 632 AH) Approach In Tafsir Qur’an by the Qur’an through his Tafsir Nughbat Al-Bayan

Abstract

      My study of this research was devoted to a scholar, namely Imam Omar Al-Suhrawardi  and I studied a brief aspect of his personal and scientific life, and touched on the nature of his interpretation and the reason for its composition, and the research was devoted to his interpretation of the Qur’an by the Qur’an, and among the aspects that the author touched upon in interpreting the Qur’an by the Qur’an, and I explained the content of interpreting the Qur’an by the Qur’an, and this is the scope of the research.The main objective of the research is to highlight the role of Imam Al-Suhrawardi in interpreting the Holy Qur’an, as it is known that Imam Al-Suhrawardi is famous among the Sufis; so I wanted through the research for him to be known to the public and to the people of interpretation in particular, and since his interpretation is not famous among the people of knowledge, his interpretation is characterized by smoothness and ease, such that the reader and researcher understand it without complexity. I explained what was said about the concept of interpreting the Qur’an by the Qur’an, and how it is considered one of the best types of interpretation. I explained its types and clarified its content. After that, I traced the places of interpreting the Qur’an with the Qur’an according to Imam al-Suhrawardi and followed the inductive method in the research, by mentioning these places and commenting on them.
